Dizzle dazzle

Pretty good weekend except for my classes. Midnight deadlines are rough for last minuters like myself.

Did my first bit of real driving around Portland on Friday for dinner and Munchkin. Maps are my friend. I think I’d like to get an apartment in Portland after I graduate so I don’t have to mess with driving in and trying to find a parking space. A job in Portland would be nice too so I could avoid the horrendous commute out to the ‘burbs.

Also went whitewater rafting yesterday. I even fell in and got back in while pulling in another guy and nabbing his paddle. The river wasn’t dangerous but it still some excitement for the day. Also took a leap off a rock about 15 feet in the air into the water and got a nice rush of air before going under. Turns out the splash jackets work against you if you go underwater while wearing them.

Then today just a jaunt to the farmer’s market for a live performance for a paper I need to write tomorrow. Some Sunday morning blues and a smoothie, close to the neighborhood where a plane would crash hours later. Eerie.
